The PS3 and Xbox 360 ended this generation neck-and-neck in terms of sales. This is because, in the end, both systems provided a similar gaming experience. Aside from the argument of exclusives, the only major advantage the PS3 really had over the Xbox 360 was the vast storage capacity of Blu-ray discs. This generation, Microsoft caved in, and the Xbox One has adopted Blu-ray. However, Guerrilla Games — developer of the upcoming Killzone Shadow Fall — claims that the original build of the game was 290GB in size because the PS4 is powerful enough to output textures that high-res, whereas “competing systems” are not.
Thank you so much! Its obvious that you guys are putting a lot of hard work into this game post-launch, more than nearly every other developer out there and I want you to know that its really appreciated! I think these fantastic additions are awesome! No joke and no exaggeration, I look forward to Killzone patches and map packs more than I look forward to new release games. I'm so excited about whats been given and awestruck that there's even more to come. Keep being the model for other developers to emulate and I'll continue to be a lifelong fan. I can't wait to see what's next for Killzone Shadow Fall as well as what's next for your new IP. Keep up the good work!
Multiplayer for Killzone Shadow Fall has thus far been received very well by the gaming community, with the ability to customise weapons ranging from rapid fire rifles to the more precise DMR (designated marksman rifle) style weapons and load outs, multiple play styles, huge varied levels and game modes, there was little doubt that this MP component would be a hit with fans of the online fps arena.
In an industry filled with the apparent need to milk all its customers for even more money, even after spending over $60 on the base game itself, ‘ decision to eliminate the need for in-game purchases (microtransactions) in the multiplayer aspect of their year-old PS4 game, Killzone Shadow Fall, is undoubtedly a very good thing.
