Well I have to say that I’m very impressed that you know the Jimmy Dean Sausage Guy personally…Me. That’s quite something. You do realize that this is a humor blog, right? So…I’m joking. I’m sure he’s a lovely person and yada yada. But, humor.
Lusk noted that the Jimmy Dean Museum and Llano Estacado Museum will be considered a single facility with one main entrance through the new Jimmy Dean Museum.
During the summer, Wayland has been taking care of various maintenance projects, including replacement of sewer lines, and preparing the new Jimmy Dean Museum which will be dedicated Wednesday, Sept. 28. “Displays are about ready,” he said. “We still have some landscaping and some loose, but it will be ready for the grand opening.”
In 1969 he formed the Jimmy Dean sausage company with his brother Don. The company’s success led to its acquisition in 1984 by Consolidated Foods which later became the Sara Lee Corporation. He was soon phased out of any management duties.
